So it’s a necessary stay at home period for most people across the world. No thanks to COVID-19 virus – everyone is now practising social distancing. The “holiday” seems enjoyable at first, however, you begin to notice all the free time suddenly on your hands. Worse, you can’t even go out as you would love to. Having two weeks (or even more) staying home can get boring very quickly, so here are a few tips to keep busy and prevent lounging on the couch watching movies day after day.
- Get to read a good book. When school is on session, there is hardly any time for pleasure reading, so try out one that you’ve been dying to read and haven’t had the time to do so.
2. Start a workout pattern. The number one excuse typically used for not working out is the lack of time in the day. Now that you do have all the time, make it a routine to get up and do something active: run around your compound, do some calisthenics or dance to your favourite music.
3. Do online course. There are several free and paid online resources you can do this period to advance your knowledge. Check out a couple of them and get busy!
4. Pick up a new hobby! Look around you, there is always something positive you can do other than watch TV or press your phone all day. For those who aren’t as inclined in the kitchen, try to make a meal for your family or bake a batch of cookies for the holidays.
